Emergency Medical Technician
Job Duties
- Evaluate and examine patients to determine necessary care
- Provide patients with emergency care utilizing available equipment and Adams County EMS standing orders
- Document patient information, condition, and treatments
- Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
- Transport patients in accordance with rules and regulations set forth by Adams County EMS
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients
- Operate Adams County EMS apparatus and vehicles with regard to agency policies and state laws
- Operate Adams County EMS computer systems, including ePCR software
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) (required)
- Valid State of Ohio EMT certification (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift in excess of 50 pounds
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Demonstrated ability to provide emergency medical care in accordance with agency policy
- Ability to exercise sound judgement while working in a stressful environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods, and walk for extended periods including over uneven or rough terrain
Salary
$14.00 hourly
Advanced Emergency Medical Technician
